Jenny Drayton is a warm, empathetic and professional Counsellor and Psychotherapist. She is registered with the Psychotherapy & Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), as a clinical member with the Counsellors and Psychotherapists Association of NSW (CM CAPA) and with The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). She has over 20 years experience providing counselling, coaching and psychotherapy in both government and non-government sectors.
Jenny has a Masters in Couple and Family Therapy from UNSW, a Graduate Certificate in Field Education in Social Work and a Bachelor of Health Science (Nursing) with a Major in Counselling.
Jenny is highly skilled in her role as Counsellor and Psychotherapist providing services for individuals, families, adolescents and children. She has extensive experience in relationship counselling, family therapy, individual counselling and psychotherapy, grief and loss, behaviour management, helping parents develop their parenting skills, psycho education and working with people who have disabilities including autism.
Jenny is constantly updating her knowledge and therapeutic skills to comply with her registration requirements and her values of providing high quality services to her clients. Her respect and consideration for people’s unique circumstances supports the authentic and collaborative relationship she builds with them.
Her work extends into the specialist field of disability and she has a wealth of experience in this area, in particular her counselling work with carers/parents of people with a disability, mental health issues and chronic illness.
Jenny has provided consultation and training to allied health professionals. She has also worked in the fitness industry for 12 years where she utilised her counselling and coaching skills supporting people to reach their healthy lifestyle goals both as a fitness leader and personal trainer.
